Fun at Work Day is a day to have fun at work for once. Ideally, work should be fun. But normally, work is not intended to have fun. It's intended to get work done. You're a very lucky person, if you if you can get work done and have fun doing it. The lucky souls in this situation, love their job.

Unfortunately, all of us are not lucky enough to have a job that's fun to do. If that's you, then today is a day just for you! Think of ways to make your job more fun and exciting. Look to do some fun things at work today, even if it takes away from production just a wee bit.

Fight the work day doldrums on January 28.  It’s National Fun At Work Day! Many people spend a  good portion of their lives at work, so why should they not try to enjoy it?  While looking to find fun things to do at work, let your imagination be the leader.  Make sure whatever fun and exciting things that you choose has your boss’s approval.  Better yet, get your boss involved in the fun.

International Years - The United Nations picks several topics or themes each year that are the focus of the calendar year. In 2015, these are: International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies and International Year of Soils.

Monthly Holidays and Observances are those that are recognized throughout the entire Month such as the Military Holiday of Month of the Military Child recognized in April each year.

Weekly Holidays and Observances are those that fall within certain weeks of each month. Most of these have what is called Movable Dates each year, as opposed to Fixed Dates. Typical Holidays will be recognized during the First Week of the Month, Second Week of the Month etc. Some Weekly Holidays have specific dates that they fall on that are the same dates each year, like National Park Week is always on April 18 - 24th each year.
